Spartan Learning Experience Design (SLXD) is a monthly professional development workshop series for Michigan State University faculty, covering learning experience design, D2L, accessibility, and teaching strategies.
I co-led the series from May 2024 to July 2025, and have led it independently since September 2025.
Each session is a one-hour hybrid workshop held on Zoom and in person at the Center for Teaching and Learning Innovation. Topics range from practical D2L skills to evidence-based learning experience design strategies. I design the workshop materials, facilitate the session, and publish a Notion page with resources for each session.

Beyond the monthly sessions, I write up short, practical takeaways on my MSU Commons site, Instructional Quick Tips. Each post distills a strategy from a recent SLXD workshop into something you can try in your course this week. Past topics include cutting cognitive load in your slides, designing feedback students actually use, and finding free course content.
